Publishing Standards
Editorial policy
Clear distinctions help readers—and systems that cite sources—understand what supports each claim.
What we publish
Skagway publishes founder-led guidance for U.S. enterprise leaders and boards considering executive succession, key-person risk, tacit knowledge transfer, and successor readiness.
How we label content
- Source-backed background links to the original or authoritative source that informs a factual statement.
- Founder analysis represents Skagway’s point of view or practitioner framework and is identified as such.
- Illustrative examples are hypothetical teaching examples, never presented as client work or outcomes.
- Client evidence is not published unless permission is explicit and the statement can be substantiated.
Review and corrections
Each Insight displays a publication and review date. We review factual claims, service details, and external links at least annually and correct material errors promptly. To request a correction, email inquire@skagwaysuccession.com with the page URL and supporting information.
What this is not
The site is not legal, tax, accounting, executive-search, compensation, investment, or fiduciary advice. Readers should engage the appropriate professionals for those decisions.
What took decades to learn
should not disappear in a day.
The road ahead should remember how the company came this far.
